FieldStamp — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

FieldStamp is a camera that burns the time, the coordinates and the address into each photograph so that it can serve as evidence. This policy explains exactly what the app does with that information.

The short version: your photos and your location never leave your device through us. We operate no server and we hold no account for you.

What the app accesses, and why

DataWhyWhere it goes
Precise location (GPS) To stamp coordinates onto the photograph and to record them in the report. Approximate location (±2 km) cannot distinguish two neighbouring plots, so it is not sufficient for this purpose. Stays on your device, inside the photo and the app's own files.
Camera To take the photographs. Stays on your device.
Photos you import To add existing pictures to a site file. Their original EXIF data is preserved and never rewritten. Stays on your device.
Microphone (optional) Only while you use voice dictation for a note. Speech recognition is performed by your device's Android system service. Handled by Android, not by us.
Notes, site names, custom fields To organise and label your files. Stays on your device.

What we do not do

Reverse geocoding (turning coordinates into an address)

To show a street address instead of raw numbers, the app asks Android's own geocoding service to translate the coordinates. On most devices this service is provided by Google and requires a network connection. When you are offline, or when you decline, the coordinates are still stamped and the address is simply left blank — capture never depends on a network.

Only the coordinates are sent to that system service, and only when an address is being resolved. No photograph and no note is ever transmitted.

Purchases

FieldStamp Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Payments, refunds and subscription management are handled entirely by Google; we never see your card details. The app only asks Google whether a valid purchase exists on your account.

Where your data lives, and how to delete it

Everything the app produces is stored in FieldStamp's own folder on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. You can also delete individual photos and sites inside the app at any time. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no data-export request to make to us.

Children

FieldStamp is a professional documentation tool. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
